On May 14, 2011, the Coastal Carolina Branch of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will hold its 8th Annual Hope Gala at the Holiday Inn Resort at Wrightsville Beach, NC. Proceeds from this important event fund research to find a cure for diabetes. JDRF is dedicated to finding a cure for type1 diabetes and removing the burdens and threats that the disease carries. The Foundation remains a global leader in driving type 1 diabetes science forward by funding more type 1 research than any other charity.
This year’s theme of Past, Present, Future gives us an opportunity to recognize and honor very special individuals. These women are representative of our Past, full of knowledge and wisdom. They are always Present, providing care and support with kindness, concern and love. They have an equal if not greater passion than many of us to find a cure in the very near Future for their loved ones impacted by Type 1.
